The Official First Day of My Diary

Today is Sunday, February 28, 2010 and I am on bedrest! No work, no church, just bed. I've been bedridden for about a week now. Now at about 35 weeks and 3 days pregnant I have to be careful because about two Friday's ago little Justice (my soon to be baby girl) was on her way out ya'll, not naturally though. I had a scheduled doctor's appointment for an ultrasound, the plan was to verify that she was in actuality a girl for my upcoming baby shower. Well in the process the doctor's found her at 4 lbs 4 oz at 34 weeks, surrounded by a Grade 3 placenta. There are 3 grades, and supposedly the placenta that surrounds her is expected around a pregnancy that is full term, i.e. 40 weeks. I was sent directly to labor and delivery to take a stress test to determine a reason for her lack in weight gain. Come to find out I WAS HAVING CONTRACTIONS! I didn't even know it! I eventually stayed at the hospital for about 8 hours, honey that was NOT in the plan, with a doctor's appointment at 9am, my plan was to be home by noon. Well come to find out for some of the contractions her heart rate would slow, eventually they let me go however because it wasn't happening EVERY time I had a contraction. Thank God! The next scheduled appointment was for that Sunday, just two days later. I got there Sunday and the doctor's didn't see the level of activity that they would have wanted to see, because of that they wanted to monitor me throughout the night, I HAD TO STAY! Throughout this whole ordeal if at any point they felt the baby was in a stressful environment they were contemplating a C-SECTION. My My My! All I wanted was an ultrasound! I took two types of stress tests on Monday and was released... AGAIN, and have successfully passed yet another test on this past Thursday. Now I am scheduled to see my doctor twice a week for continual stress tests until little Justice gets here! So bed rest it is. As soon as my friends found out all that went on they went on friend baby duty, one best friend got her a car seat, one best best friend went to Walmart and had a field day and another started to plan my baby shower! I'm excited, this Saturday is the baby shower, hopefully it turns out successful. So a note to baby Justice Grace, baby girl I need for you to stay put for at least a week in there! Momma has some plans for you this weekend! lol
